Cart/High Chair Cover....

I've gotten tired of my baby sucking on the grocery cart

...so here is the solution.

This was very easy to make. I had a pattern but ended up not following all the instructions cause they made it harder then it needed to be. I love the pink fabric, gotta love the sale rack! I'll add a pic after our first time using it!

Vinyl for My Bathroom

It took me awail to decided what I wanted for my bathroom,

and now I'm happy with my choice!

Be Clean...get it!!!
My husband doesn't really know what to think of this, but I love it!

Vinyl in My Kitchen

I finally filled the black spot above my sink!

What do ya think?!

I love it, and yes I get kissed more often now!!
So happy it turned out good!

Cooler For my Diaper Bag!!

There have been a lot of times that I've wanted to keep a snack cold but haven't had anything to put it in. So......with some leftover fabric from my diaper bag and some thermal batting from JoAnn's I made my own.

It was very simple, but the thick thermal batting was sometimes frustrating!!

The Perfect Diaperbag!

This has to be one of my favorites!!
I made my own pattern for this diaper bag; and now it's perfect for all of my needs.
Here it is:
I love the colors and fabric!
You can't tell here, but it really is huge!

I loved how the button turned out! I got this idea from another bag pattern I have and just adapted it to the way I wanted, you might have to enlarge it to see what I did.

I love the inside!! There are pockets on each side (I planned their sized based on what I would use them for) and the divider makes is so much easier to stay organized!

HINT: If you decide to make your own pattern I would draw out your pattern on tissue paper and then cut it out. This made it much easier for me, it was big enough so I didn't have tape pages together.

Here you can kinda see how big it is.
I LOVE IT!!!!

I used home decor fabric for the outside and the lining as well - I wanted it sturdy!
I also used fusible interfacing so my bag is really firm.
And for the base and I got a plastic net from JoAnn's that is used for yarn needle projects; it works perfectly and it was only $1.
In summary........ I LOVE MY DIAPER BAG!
I really feel stylish now!

Reversible Vinyl Blocks

Here's my latest vinyl project! I wanted blocks that would work for spring decor, but that I could also use through the rest of the year, so here's how they turned out.....

Nursing Cover!

Yep...I'm making nursing covers now! I think they are super fun and very easy!
In my opinion the key is to find good boning for the neck.
I have a cover that won't say up and is more of a pain than anything.

I must say this sewing project was a success!
When I finished it I wanted to keep it for myself - I like it A LOT more then the one I have!
I am selling these so if you're interested let me know.
They are a must have for nursing moms!

I love Decorative Pillows!!

Our bed has looked SO plain and I found this fabric in the remnants basket at JoAnn's!! As soon as I saw it I knew just what to make....... PILLOWS!!I have to say that this picture doesn't do it justice!...Our room looks so much better now!
It was a little more challenging then the previous pillows I've made, but I like these better.
Ya know it's good when the hubby says,..."Wow dear those look like a professional made them!"
Made my day!
Now on to the next project!!

Been puttin' vinyl on my walls!

So I have Many plans for vinyl in my home and I'm finally getting some of them done!!!
Here is my first...it is in our hallway by our door. I was happy with it but it's a pretty big wall so I might add something else with it..we'll see!

NEXT....I put the "love you" and I think it has made the wall look even better!

Still gonna....put vinyl in the baby's room, in our bedroom above the closet, in the kitchen above the sink and then also in the bathroom!!

Crib Bumper!

Hurray!!!! I've finished it and I LOVE it!!!

I started out by making two 9" x 160" strips. I used the leftover fabric I had from when I made my daughters quilt. Then I put padding in the middle, made my own bious tape, and sewed it together and added ribbon as ties! So happy with it.

It's amazing how much better her whole room looks now that it's finished!!!

Project #1: for the new year!

I have become quite the slacker lately on updating my craft project......so this is my plan...
I want to complete at least one project a week and then post it at the end of the week!

Here is my project from last week:
For those who follow my personal blog you may remember this dumpster find! Well it has been partially finished for quite awhile now....but I've finally finished it all the way!

And here is the finished product! I painted the inside little purple and then added the lime green wooden pegs at the bottom! (They're perfect for hanging her coats!)
The blocks on the top of the shelf will have her name on them when they are finished! I made the flower holder also...I'll upload that later!
