Flip flops with flare!

I went to Old Navy this week to get my daughter some new sandals. All they had were size 5 and she’s not quite there yet. So this is what I did……..

I cut the elastic off and then put my own ribbon through, tied it tight, and then hand stitched it so it would come apart when she plays with it!

So easy!……They work great and I think they look better this way!

Cart/High Chair Cover....

I've gotten tired of my baby sucking on the grocery cart

...so here is the solution.

This was very easy to make. I had a pattern but ended up not following all the instructions cause they made it harder then it needed to be. I love the pink fabric, gotta love the sale rack! I'll add a pic after our first time using it!

Cooler For my Diaper Bag!!

There have been a lot of times that I've wanted to keep a snack cold but haven't had anything to put it in. So......with some leftover fabric from my diaper bag and some thermal batting from JoAnn's I made my own.

It was very simple, but the thick thermal batting was sometimes frustrating!!

Nursing Cover!

Yep...I'm making nursing covers now! I think they are super fun and very easy!
In my opinion the key is to find good boning for the neck.
I have a cover that won't say up and is more of a pain than anything.

I must say this sewing project was a success!
When I finished it I wanted to keep it for myself - I like it A LOT more then the one I have!
I am selling these so if you're interested let me know.
They are a must have for nursing moms!

I've been wanting to learn how to do this for a long time...so I finally Did it!
I crocheted this hat and now I'm addicted.
It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.
Here's the link to the pattern I used to make it.

Project #1: for the new year!

I have become quite the slacker lately on updating my craft project......so this is my plan...
I want to complete at least one project a week and then post it at the end of the week!

Here is my project from last week:
For those who follow my personal blog you may remember this dumpster find! Well it has been partially finished for quite awhile now....but I've finally finished it all the way!

And here is the finished product! I painted the inside little purple and then added the lime green wooden pegs at the bottom! (They're perfect for hanging her coats!)
The blocks on the top of the shelf will have her name on them when they are finished! I made the flower holder also...I'll upload that later!

Baby Legs! - Great for cold weather!

Baby Legs are my latest obsession!
I have made many for my daughter and now I'm making some to sell on Etsy! I think they are super cute, and I love how they keep her legs warm!

I can make them in all sizes, for boys or girls, with or without lettuce edge.
I'm selling them for $7 - I was amazed that at the store they cost about $12 (ridiculous!)
For fellow crafts these are very easy to make. Just need women's knee high socks and a sewing machine! The web has a couple free tutorials, look around and find the one that best works for you!
* More on the way!!!*

Baby Ring Sling

Here is my baby ring sling!
I love it! I have to say, now that I have a baby of my own I LOVE my ring sling!!!!!
Wish had a better picture, cause it is cute. It has a zippered pocket with cute pink buttons!
I think every parent should have one! (Remember I can make you one!) I like to give this as a gift for baby showers, and a lot of the people I give them too end up not using them cause they can't figure out how to use it.
My suggestion: get on the Internet and read how to use them; look for different holds that will work for the age of your child. (There really is a hold for every age). Then just experiment with it and find what works best for you!
I often have these on Etsy, but make them custom all the time! - so just ask!

Baby Sun Hat

Baby Sun Hat!
I can make any size you need!
This one was made about three months ago.

Haven't made any sun hats for Etsy yet, but do plan to.
If you're interested in one just leave a comment or email me at purpleliliescraft.gmail.com!
I'm selling them for $9.
If you're interested in making these, they're pretty easy. JoAnn's has some patterns, but there are also some free tutorials on the Internet.

I know, i know it's been forever!

I Need to apologize, it has been SO long since I last posted.
Lets just say that between having a baby and moving I haven't made the time to post my crafts.
So get prepared for a whole lot to come!!!

First: This is the Rag Quilt I made for my daughters crib!! I was excited with how it turned out. I also made her crib skirt!
I am still planning what will go on her wall right above her crib!!

Flower Clips and Headbands!

I've been having some fun getting ready for our little girl who will be joining our family in June!!! I made these flower clips and I can hardly wait to use them.I found the flowers on a good deal at Michaels (buy 1 get 1). I handstiched them together rather then hot glued them. It was easy, fast, and I like that it lays flat. I then hot guled the button on top and the clip to the back.
I made the baby headbands with girl size tights and hot glued them together. They also were very fast and easy.
